ST. JOHN’S UNIVERSITY OF TANZANIA
29th September, 2011.
PRESS RELEASE
RE-OPENING OF THE FIRST SEMESTER (2011/12) ACADEMIC YEAR
The St. John’s University of Tanzania announces for the information to the general
public, particularly St. Mark’s Centre’s students that the 2011/2012 academic year
opening dates has changed due to unavoidable circumstance.
The re-opening dates will now be Monday, 31st
October, 2011 for first year and
Monday 7th
November 2011 for continuing students with two weeks registration and
lectures will begin soon thereafter. The Management is therefore entreating all
students to report to St. Mark’s Centre accordingly and get registered within the
normal registration period to avoid consequences for late registration. Students are
also being advised to make themselves available on the first day of lectures to enable
a smooth take off of the new and first semester. This is very crucial since we are
doing 15 weeks of intensive teaching.
It is therefore appropriate that we start the semester’s work early enough to avoid any
undue pressure getting to the end of the semester. We wish all students a very safe
journey to the Campus and a fruitful new and first semester of this coming academic
year.
