Dear
RE: SUPPORTING THE STUDENTS’ LEADERSHIP TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY LEADERS’ FORUM
The above subject matter refers.
East African Community Students Union (EACSU) was formed a couple of years ago with an aim of fostering the spirit of integration among the students and work towards realizing cohesiveness and harmony within the member states as far as education and youth empowerment are concerned. It strives be the leading students’ governance body in Africa and is currently in the forefront in championing for the enactment of policies in East Africa that would help in creating conducive learning environment for all the students as well as ensuring the realization of socio economic revolution within the region.

We are looking forward to seeing the mainstreaming of youth issues into socio-economic, corporate and demographic policies and programmes (national policy development and decision making and development programming processes)

Consequently, we have lined up a series of meeting for the students’ leaders in all the universities across East Africa, first held in Rwanda from July 19, 2011 to July 22, 2011. The coming conference will be held on 29th September -01 October, 2011; Nairobi (Kenya). The theme of the conference is “Realising progressive and transformative leadership in East African Community: My role!”
I am therefore requesting that you consider supporting the organisation by facilitating at least five leaders to attend the conference. It is our view that these meetings will also help improve on their leadership ability.
NOTE: Other arrangements should be handled by EACSU Vice president in your country.

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Yours
................

Osborn Yogo George
PRESIDENT
